Katie was born and raised in Chicago and is a Midwest girl at heart. Katie had a desire to be in the medical field from a young age, but it was her personal experience with physical therapy after a sports injury that sealed the deal.
Katie graduated from Belmont University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. She competed as an NCAA Division 1 volleyball player during her undergraduate years. Katie moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming a physical therapist and graduated from the University of Southern California with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2014.
Katie is passionate about helping people achieve their goals so that they can return to doing the activities they love. She has experience with all age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics. Katie also has experience in a variety of settings and populations including hospital based cardiopulmonary ICU and pediatrics, women’s health, neurologic, sports, and orthopedics. She continues to participate in research on evidence-based practice to make sure that students and clinicians are able to utilize the newest research to provide patients with the best quality of care.
Outside of the clinic, Katie enjoys cooking, trips to see her family, and good live music. She loves to stay healthy and active by playing beach volleyball, working out, and any outdoor adventure including hiking and camping. She and her fiancé are new to the Orange County area.
