Melvina is currently pursuing her Bachelor's of Science degree in Biological Science at University of California, Irvine. Prior to working at CdM Rehab, she participated in a two year internship at HOAG Memorial Hospital in Newport Beach through a program called Clinical Care Extender, where she spent most of her weekends gaining experience in a wide variety of units doing hand-on patient care. She had the opportunity to work at James Irvine Surgical Center, Gynecology/Urology, Telemetry, Joint Works, Stroke Units, and Rehab Services. Toward the end of her internship, she realized that Rehab Services was her favorite department and this is what led her to pursue her future career as a licensed physical therapist.

While doing her internship at HOAG, Melvina also worked at Irvine Urgent Care as a pediatrician's assistant working with infants, children, and adolescents and assisting in front and back office duties. By discovering her deep compassion for others and her strong desire to help people, Melvina decided to work in this beautiful outpatient orthopedic clinic as a physical therapy aide. She loves people and she is very interested in the way the human body works! Last but not least, Melvina is planning to go to University of Southern California to obtain her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy once she finishes her undergraduate studies.
